Green Office is an environmental service for offices, with the objective of saving natural resources and promoting sustainable consumption. WWF encourages offices in the Green Office system to act as role models in implementing eco-efficient solutions and pro-environmental operating models in society. At the same time, offices save in material and energy costs.
WWF has granted Green Office labelling rights to the Finnish Food Authority in the environmental system audits organised in 2009.
Authority has drawn up a Green Office environmental programme for its premises, and agreed to comply with the Green Office criteria. It aims at being aware of environmental issues and taking them into account in everyday work, and enhancing pro-environmental attitudes among personnel.
