Scientific research outline

Scientific research focuses on research projects meeting society's needs. Alongside societal effectiveness, the scientific standard of research is a key focal point. In research projects, account must be taken of the needs of control activities. External funding must be actively sought for leading research projects from abroad, especially from the EU and joint Nordic sources. In addition, external funding should be sought from the Academy of Finland, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and various foundations.

Investments will be made in networking by researchers and contacts with universities and research institutions will be increased in Finland and abroad. An international network of reference laboratories provides a sound way of networking with international scientific research and joint projects. Guidance for scientific research will be made more efficient and completion of scientific articles will be expedited.
