The Finnish Food Authority maintains state veterinary emergency services outside office hours in case of emergency measures required by the authorities for animal diseases to be combated (Animal Diseases Act 76/2021, section 67).

State veterinary emergency services are intended only for official veterinarians and other authorities. The state veterinarian on duty advises them in urgent official tasks related to the prevention of animal diseases.
 
The State Veterinary Emergency Service is not a veterinary emergency service for animal owners or a contact channel for urgent veterinary assistance.
 
If you need urgent veterinary assistance for your animal, contact the veterinary emergency services in your area. The contact information of the on-call veterinarian can usually be found on the website of your municipality or environmental health care.
