Citizens of countries belonging to the European Union or the European Economic Area who have obtained the qualifications of a veterinarian in a country other than Finland belonging to the aforementioned regions cannot act as municipal veterinarians without obtaining additional qualifications. A separate course, organised by the University of Eastern Finland, must be taken to obtain additional qualifications. More information can be found at the links below.
