EFSA's Focal Point

The European Food Safety Authority EFSA has intensified the cooperation and communication between EFSA and the Member States by establishing Focal Points in the Member States. Finnish Food Authority acts as the Focal Point in Finland. The objective of the Focal Points, which were initiated in 2008, is to strengthen networking and to promote the exchange of scientific information between EFSA and the national authorities in order to develop an efficient European food safety system.
