Vitamin C

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is also a water-soluble vitamin that participates in the body in the formation of tissues and teeth. It also acts in the body as an antioxidant, i.e. it protects the body against detrimental oxidation caused by free radicals. It contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Vitamin C is obtained from fruit, berries and vegetables.

Energy drinks contain ca. 30 mg of vitamin C per 100 ml, which is half of the recommended daily intake.
