The state's regional government will be reformed at the turn of the year 2025‒2026. Regional State Administrative Agencies’ tasks related to animals and food will be transferred to the Finnish Food Authority. In connection with the change, the site may have flaws in the first few days of January.

Official labotatories for testing Trichinella

The laboratories listed below have been designated as official laboratories for trichinella testing of meat in accordance with the Food Act (297/2021). The laboratories are authorized to conduct trichinella testing of samples taken during official meat inspections, as well as trichinella testing of wild game meat intended for direct consumer use for hunters, hunting clubs, wildlife management associations, or the police. Wild game meat refers to the meat of bears, wild boars, lynxes, badgers, beavers, muskrats, and other potential trichinella host animals.

Not all designated laboratories offer analyses to external parties (note: No service analytics).
