EU-directive of regenerated cellulosa (2007/42/EY) has been implemented in Finland by a decree of the Ministry of Trade and Industry 697/2005.
The decree 697/2005 applies to
- uncoated regenerated cellulose film,
- coated regenerated cellulose film with coting derived from cellulose or
- coated regenerated cellulose film with coating consisting of plastic.
It does not apply to synthetic casings such as those used for sausages.
The legislation contains
- A positive list of substances
- A maximum total quantity of these substances and migration restriction
